Our teachers offer a variety of opportunities in order for children to be supported, re-enforced, and learn
The opportunities include self-selection and teacher-directed utilizing positive reinforcement. All of our staff have the following:
- Cleared background check
- CPR/First Aid certified
- 45 hour entry level course
- Most teachers have or are actively working towards their BA in early childhood or a related field
- Signed faith statement
- Minimum of 24 continuing-education hours every year
- Lead teachers have a minimum of 2 years experience working with early childhood education and 2 years of college in a related field
Our teachers work cooperatively with each family to suit the child’s individual needs. We encourage parents to visit anytime.
About the Founder
Rachel Davis is not only the director of the center, but also the founder of the nonprofit Community 54:13. She has been in the child development field for 18 years with 14 of those years in administration. Her education includes a BA in English with a minor in Elementary Education and Early Reading Literacy along with a MA in Family Life Studies focusing on family education. Rachel has two children of her own and a loving husband. And as the past president of the NM Association for the Education of Young Children she has in depth knowledge of the needs and demands of a quality center.
