Founded by Rachel Davis in 2009, Children's Promise Centers has been serving the local Albuquerque area with a heart for nurturing childcare and community through year-round programming. Our staff is passionate about education and are trained with excellence to care for your child. Our Eastridge location opened its doors in 2009, and our Alvarado location opens in the fall of 2023.

Mrs. Rachel has been in the child development field since 1994 and early childhood administration since 2001. Mrs. Rachel received her BA in English with an emphasis on Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Literacy Minor from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a MA in Family Life Education from the University of New Mexico in 2006.

Mrs. Rachel founded Children’s Promise Centers in 2009 as well as it’s partner nonprofit Community 54:13 in 2006. She has been in the child development field since 1994 and early childhood administration since 2001. Mrs. Rachel received her BA in English with an emphasis on Elementary Education and an Early Childhood Literacy Minor from Metropolitan State College of Denver and a MA in Family Life Education from the University of New Mexico in 2006.
Mrs. Rachel is married to Jeff, and they have two amazing children Tanner and Shiloh who have been raised in Children’s Promise Centers Eastridge
Family Pets: Mrs. Rachel has a small petting zoo at her home with Dogs, horses, donkeys, goats, chickens, and ducks.
Mrs. Rachel is an integral part of the community–bringing families, volunteers, and her team together regularly to deepen connection, solidarity, and trust while building community. as the past president of the NM Association for the Education of Young Children, New Mexico Child Care and Education Association, and The Association of Christian Schools she has in-depth knowledge of the needs and demands of high-quality center.
Why early childhood education? “I believe that God is a God of Excellence, and all children deserve excellence but often do not receive excellence. Therefore, I felt called to provide a community of excellence to the areas of our programs. Our families deserve the best, but we must start where we are and grow out from there. I am passionate about working with families and helping them reach their best within their community.”

MEET TASHA MURILLO
Mrs. Tasha has been with CPC since June of 2014. She started at the young age of 18 years old as an assistant teacher and credits CPC as helping her grow into adulthood. She has taught in every classroom but spent most of her time as a 3- & 4-year-old teacher before taking on the role of Administrative Director at the Eastridge location in 2019.
Mrs. Tasha has worked with children since she was 13 years old and always knew that God was calling her to be a support to families. She has an AA in Early Childhood Education and is pursuing her BA.
Mrs. Tasha is married to David, and they have four incredible children Hailee, Bridgette, Jericho, and Kayden who have all been raised in Children’s Promise Centers Eastridge. They also have three kitties, two dogs, and a variety of other rodents and reptiles at any time.
Mrs. Tasha loves to be involved in community activities and is currently active with her family church as well as a variety of other programs.
Why early childhood education? “I believe that God has called me to reach the children and families in this career and I am blessed to have the opportunity to show the love of Christ to all of the children and their families associated with CPC!”
